Graphical editor - Interactive graph

The graph is the central view of the editor. It shows every room of the scenario as a node, linked by arrows standing for the exits.

  • Click a room to select it and open the inspector
  • Drag a room to move it inside the graph
  • Mouse wheel to zoom in and out
  • Click and drag the background to pan the view
  • Double-click the background to create a new room
  • + / - to zoom in and out
  • 0 to fit the view

Automatic layout

The View → Reorganise menu recomputes the positions for a readable graph. Three layouts are available:

  • Vertical tree (dagre-tb) - the default, root at the top
  • Horizontal tree (dagre-lr) - root on the left
  • Breadth first (bfs) - level by level exploration from room 0

Ctrl+K (or Ctrl+P) opens the quick search. Type the name of a room to jump straight to it. It also creates a room, runs the linter or starts a test game.

Kinds of connections

Arrows between rooms show the kind of link through their style. Exact colours depend on the theme:

Kind Style Description
Plain exit Solid line Direct navigation between rooms (choice, to:)
Event (event-edge) Dashes Exit fired by an event
Action (action-edge) Dots Link coming from a custom action
Choice effect (choice-effect-edge) Short dashes Effect of a choice (effet:)
Model (model-edge) Wide dashes Connection to or from a model

Creating and deleting a room

  • Create: double-click the background, or the + Room button in the toolbar
  • Delete: select the room, then press Del or use the bin button in the inspector
  • Copy and paste: Ctrl+C on a selected room, then Ctrl+V
